Scriptures show us the incredible effect of Praise & Worship.

THANKSGIVING is our response to His acts.
PRAISE is our response to His nature.
WORSHIP is our response to His presence.

All of the above are results of worship but not the reason why we praise & worship.

When we praise & worship God it’s His worth that determines our response.

I love the fact that worship invites God’s presence into our intimate space to deal with our struggles.

I know at time when I feel like I’m in a dark place. I remind myself that Worship to God displaces darkness. In 1 Samuel 16:14-23 We see when David played the lyre the evil spirit left Saul.

My point being that when we focus on God even in our darkest moments, He shows up. Darkness has no choice but to flee. This is a result of worship.

Why do we do it?
God alone is worthy of our devotion, praise and worship. He is God, our Creator, and we are commanded to praise and worship Him. Psalm 96:9 says, “Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness; tremble before him, all the earth.” Psalm 29:2 says, “Give unto the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness

There are many more examples in the bible but i wanted to just highlight a few for my fellow Worship Leaders out there or anyone else thats moving into that ministry.
